Do I need a reservation to join a walk?


Yes, reservations are required for all tours. Email or text to confirm your attendance. Large groups should notify us ahead of time to check for available slots.

Can we just show up on any tour?


We accept last minute joiners as long as we are informed prior (by text or email). Note that tours can be fully-booked so booking prior is encouraged to save yourself the disappointment of being turned away. Last minute sign ups for the San Miguel-Malacanang Palace walk is not allowed.

How will I recognize the guide?


Just look for the fellow who is wearing a blue Old Manila Walks shirt or the one waiving our distinctive Old Manila Walks brochure.

How long do the walks last?


On the average:
Intramuros - 2 - 2.5 hours
Binondo - 2.5 - 3 hours
San Miguel- Malacanang- 2 - 2.5 hours
Chinese Cemetery- 2 hours
Manila Mix & Match - 4.5 hours

Times are approximate and are affected by the group pace and size.

What is the language medium of the tour?


All tours are in English. Tagalog and Mandarin (華語) guided walks available upon request.

How do I get to the meeting point?


You drive or take public transportation.

Do all tours include food?


No, only the Binondo (Chinatown) San Miguel-Malacañang walk does. The Binondo Food Wok tour includes a multi-course tasting menu while the San Miguel-Malacañang walk ends with a merienda (snack). You may end the Intramuros tour with an optional lunch buffet (extra).

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?


Please let us know prior if anyone in your group has dietary restrictions (e.g. vegetarian, allergies) so we can prepare beforehand.

Are walks given year-round?


Yes. We have scheduled tours on weekends and select days of the week. If there is none on the day that you are looking at, we’d be happy to arrange one for your group (subject to guide availability). Contact us for reservations.

Do you have tours on holidays?


Yes, tours run on holidays except for the San Miguel-Malacañang Palace walk. All other tours can be arranged on holidays (subject to guide availability). Walks do not run on Good Friday, Christmas and New Years Day. Note that differential rates apply for tours booked on holidays and weekends.

What if it rains?


Bring an umbrella. Scheduled walks are almost never cancelled unless there is extreme weather conditions. All our tours (except the Chinese Cemetery) are weather-sensitive and are designed to be partly indoors.

What about kids?


Kids are welcome with parental guidance. And we love having them too for Educational Tour Activities!

Can we bring our pet?


We love animals but unfortunately, not everyone allows it in their premises so best to leave our cuddly creatures at home.

Do you arrange private walks?


Yes we do. Exclusivity of tours are only guaranteed for groups of twenty-five (25) participants or more. Contact us for reservations.

What if there is nothing scheduled on the date we want?


You may choose to join the next available date or open one for your group. Contact us for reservations.

Can we customize tours?


Yes you can. Bespoke programs for special interest groups are available upon request. Contact us to inquire.

Are gift certificates available?


Yes, give the gift of cultural experience with one of our tour programs. Contact us to purchase one.

How do we pay/settle?


Settlement through local bank deposit (BDO) or Paypal.
